talaria flats

I love wearing heels. I do. They're super cute and I just love them. Really, really don't love the pain they cause. But the end of a night of wearing heels, they're definitely hanging on my fingers as I struggle with bare feet. No more though! Enter Talaria Flats. Super cute, packable flats that can easily fit into a purse for foot relief after a night in heels. I was amazing by how soft and comfy they actually are, plus they're super adorable and make me feel like I'm a ballerina. All wins in my book! You guys definitely need a pair! I do recommend ordering at least a size up though! I normally wear a 7 1/2, but my flats are a 9. They still fit because of the elastic, plus they give me a little space for swollen, after-heels feet!

Let me guess, everyone wants a pair now? ;)

weekly roundup

one: I'm a total sucker for proposal videos, and this is one of the best I've seen. SO SWEET AND ADORABLE. Plus, you know it took him some serious planning to do this, which makes it even better.

two: So, I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. Huge one. But seeing this post made me love her even more. Apparently a fan gave Taylor a book of letters and note from other fans at a meet and greet, and Taylor proceeded to go to ALL of those people's instagrams and leave comments thanking them for their notes. How incredibly awesome.

three: WARNING: THIS VIDEO WILL MAKE YOU CRY. Seriously. It is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen, and my heart completely melted while watching it. And SO many tears fell. The power of human-animal bonds is just amazing.

four: I did ballet for a good chunk of my life, and I am still so in love with it. I love videos like this that show amazing dancers such as Violette Verdy (Balanchine actually made specific roles for her!) teaching classes and describing how to make the motion the best it can be. I could honestly sit and watch ballet videos for hours upon hours. (This one is also pretty great. Good for a giggle.)

five: The most important first milestones in a puppy's life. And now we die of cuteness.

Have a great weekend!

leather mini

Note to self: if you wear a dress or skirt to nursing lectures where everyone mostly wears sweats, people will compliment the outfit and then ask why you're wearing it. Apparently there's no room for fashion in nursing classes! ;) Anyways, I am pretty much obsessed with the leather skirt trend. It's bringing back the whole, early 2000's Britney Spears look, but in the best way possible! Plus, this one was under $30. Major score.

natural nail polish

So, this year is going to be hard for me. I am normally someone who changes her nail polish every week, and has a box full of dark colors for fall and winter. However, in my nursing program, part of the dress code says that we can only wear light and natural colors. Ugh. I have about one natural, light color in my box (Essie Ballet Slippers, which I do love). I tried to just go without nail polish for the first couple weeks, but I just can't do it! I need the polish. So now I need everyone's recs for their fave natural color nail polishes! Here are some ones that I'm loving right now:

the frosting company

I'm so excited to share The Frosting Company with you guys today! I found this company via instagram (shocking, right?), and instantly fell in love. Body butter frosting and bath fizzies in scents like strawberry champagne and confetti cake? Um, yes please! Then add in that the products are all natural, vegan, gluten free, paraben free...the list goes on! Definitely some of my new favorite products.
The Frosting Company sent me the Chocolate Mousse body butter and the Confetti Cake fizzie (restocking soon!), and I am OBSESSED. I wish I had some kind of smell-o-vision for this body butter, but I'll do my best to describe it. Think of a really expensive mug of hot chocolate, that just smells beyond amazing. That is what this body butter smells like! I keep putting it on my hands after my nursing clinicals because they're so dry from hand washing, and it definitely softens them up! Plus, I certainly don't mind smelling like chocolate. (It will make you crave it though!). And the bath fizzie was perfect after a long day! It's pretty big, so it fizzes for a while, which is a total win in my book!

vest obsession

I am totally already obsessed with my vest. I've worn it a couple times in the past week, and I just can't get enough! It goes with everything! I paired it with one of my new favorite sweaters (thanks to Mom for snagging it at the warehouse sale!) and some sparkle to dress it up a little. When I wore the vest again this weekend, I actually ended up having a full on talk sesh with my pharmacist about J.Crew vests, and how the Factory has better prices! Too funny!

weekly roundup

one: Oh yeah, another Gilmore Girls post. (Can you guys tell yet that this is one of my absolute favorite shows?) And for your viewing pleasure, a ranking of the men in the lives of the Gilmore's!

two: ALL THE HEARTWARMING FEELS. A baby gets a hearing aid and hears for the very first time. So completely amazing.

three: My dad sent me this video forever ago, and just recently found it again! It's a clip from The Cosby Show (another one of the greats) with Olivia explaining to Heath how a baby is actually born. Adorableness ensues.

four: All I have to say for this video is, HOLY CRAP. This guy is amazing! I wish I had those kinds of skills!

Have a great weekend, all!

one dress, two ways: part two

Part two of styling this pretty fall dress from Oasap! For this look, I decided to dress it up a little, and wear it as more of a tunic! It's a pretty short dress, which makes it easy to transition between the two styles without looking silly!

one dress, two ways: part one

I've come to notice that my wardrobe is seriously lacking in fall and winter dresses. So when I came across this one on Oasap, I knew I had to have it! It's the perfect color combo for fall, and it can be styled so many ways! And today is part one of that multiple styling!
