plaid and ballcaps

While I would like to pretend that I always have fabulous hair days and look my best, it is sadly not true. So I turn to my trusty baseball hat collection (all five of them) for an instantly cute way to hide gross and untamable hair! Add a comfy plaid (and a cool rooster statue) and I'm good to go!

holiday parties

So excited to be teaming up with Lindsay from Sugar & Something to show you how we would dress for all those holiday parties coming up! (And make sure to check instagram later today for a fun giveaway! ;))

I absolutely love Lindsay's sparkly leggings, and how seriously chic her outfit is! Pus, I'm experiencing some serious hair envy right now! Wanna do mine for me, Lindsay? ;)
I went the classic red and green route, and edged it up a bit with chunky gold jewelry and a leather skirt (told you guys you'd be seeing it a lot!).

(Channeling Clara from the Nutcracker, of course!)

teal and cable knit

So, you know you wear your hair the same way all the time when people make a big deal over it being different. Aka me on Friday when I came to class with my hair curled. Little secret for anyone who totally doesn't have time in the morning to curl: curl it the night before and sleep on it. You get a less perfect curl and it actually turns out pretty great. (Plus, I have super thick hair and it takes about an hour, or a little more. And I am not waking up an hour early for that!) Also, I am so obsessed with this sweater dress from Old Navy! Easily dressed up or down, and actually kept me pretty warm!

cashmere and leather

Hand me downs aren't always the best thing. Unless of course, your mom decides she has a cashmere sweater that she doesn't wear anymore and asks if you want it. That's a fantastic hand me down! I paired it with a leather skirt and patterned tights for some fun, and my new favorite jacket from Old Navy. Can you guys tell yet that I love pairing pink and black together?

Do you have any awesome hand me downs?

stripes on stripes

Happy Monday everyone! (Or not so happy if you haven't had your coffee yet.) Hope everyone had a fab weekend! I went home for my weekend, and had a great time with my parents! Unfortunately, it's back to classes now. I'll just have to do another fun outfit like this one as a pick me up! Can you believe this striped vest was only $30 at TjMaxx? It looks exactly like the J.Crew one!

pastel layering

So, the lady who did my brows at Ulta (AMAZING, highly recommend the brow bar there to everyone!) told me she digs my style and my look was on point. So....obviously best outfit ever? ;) It got suddenly really cold here, which means all the layering! This sweater from Old Navy is an oldie but a goodie, and is always on constant rotation in the colder months. And this sparkly necklace from Accessory Jane is my absolute favorite, and instantly adds a pop of fun! (Also, please take note of the fun pumpkin lights I have wrapped around the sprinkler in my room!)

talaria flats

I love wearing heels. I do. They're super cute and I just love them. Really, really don't love the pain they cause. But the end of a night of wearing heels, they're definitely hanging on my fingers as I struggle with bare feet. No more though! Enter Talaria Flats. Super cute, packable flats that can easily fit into a purse for foot relief after a night in heels. I was amazing by how soft and comfy they actually are, plus they're super adorable and make me feel like I'm a ballerina. All wins in my book! You guys definitely need a pair! I do recommend ordering at least a size up though! I normally wear a 7 1/2, but my flats are a 9. They still fit because of the elastic, plus they give me a little space for swollen, after-heels feet!

a mint moment

This is probably one of my favorite shirts for summer. The color is amazing, its flowy and backless to keep cool, and it's SUPER soft! Major win. Pairing it with the white shorts really makes it pop in my opinion, and since it's me, I just had to add in some blue! ;)
