orange you glad it's spring

Hope you enjoy my pun in the title there ;) I remember going outside to take these pictures and just being so happy that I didn't even need a coat and I was freezing and rushing to get done! I know I've said it a million times now, but YAY for warmer weather! I'm definitely celebrating by wearing bright colors all the time, and wearing as few layers as possible. (Side note, my dad told me I looked like a spy when I came out in this, which everyone who owns a trench coat wants to hear at least once, am I right?!)

black, white and mom all over

Do you guys ever put on an outfit and think "oh my goodness, I'm turning into my mom"? My mom is pretty much the queen of rocking black and white, so every time I rock black with white (especially with a cropped pant), I always feel like my mom. But since she's the queen of rocking this classic look, I guess that's not so bad ;)

fancy LBD

At this point, everyone knows I love the little black dress. It's just such a versatile piece, and a definite closet staple. When I got this fun and flirty LBD from Azalea Terrace Boutique, I just knew I wanted to dress it up! Add a sparkly necklace and a bright pink coat, and I was good to go!
Also, use the code SPARKLES15 at Azalea Terrace Boutique to get 15% off your purchase!

a layering fool

I am all about that layering lately. (Not so much about the bass ;)) It's been pretty darn cold outside, and totally up to chance inside! I have one classroom that's always pretty warm, and my other one is always freezing! Aka, absolutely need to layer so I don't overheat in the first or freeze in the second. Plus, isn't there some blogger law that you must layer in the winter? ;)

Are you all about that layering?

plaid and wine

I have my last final this morning and then I am heading hoooome! I am so ready for all things Christmas, and to just be done with school for a couple weeks. Yay for breaks! If you haven't figured out yet from my pictures, instagram or my ramblings, I just really love Christmas!
I also love this blazer. It was such a steal from Target, and I swear it can be paired with almost everything. This is actually the top I was wearing when I got it, and it's not something I would've immediately thought about putting together. But it totally works!

I know I'm not the only one, who else snagged this blazer?

dressed up puffer

A little weekend update from me: PASSED ALL MY MIDTERMS, WAHOO! My parents came up to visit for the weekend, so I got to hang with them and some family and it was lovely. My dad helped me out in my apartment to try to cut the noise down (dear people in the hallway, be quiet. dear neighbor, you also be quiet), and so far it is seriously helping! (Thanks Daddy!) Came back to my apartment yesterday and had a total lazy day. Pretty darn good weekend.
Now onto the outfit! I've said before how obsessed I am with my puffer vest, and just to reiterate it, I think I wear it at least once a week! (no shame) I wanted to see if I could dress it up a little, and I think it turned out pretty well!

houndstooth pixie

It's safe to say that I am so obsessed with Old Navy's pixie pant. They're so stretchy and comfy that it really feels like you're in your sweats, while still looking like nice pants! I've actually always had issues with Old Navy pants (stuck somewhere between a 0 and a 2) and I wasn't even going to try them on, but my mom convinced me to try and I'm so glad I did! (For the record, I'm a 2 in the Pixie!) The best part? They're under $40 (and on sale for under $30 right now!)!

leather mini

Note to self: if you wear a dress or skirt to nursing lectures where everyone mostly wears sweats, people will compliment the outfit and then ask why you're wearing it. Apparently there's no room for fashion in nursing classes! ;) Anyways, I am pretty much obsessed with the leather skirt trend. It's bringing back the whole, early 2000's Britney Spears look, but in the best way possible! Plus, this one was under $30. Major score.

one dress, two ways: part one

I've come to notice that my wardrobe is seriously lacking in fall and winter dresses. So when I came across this one on Oasap, I knew I had to have it! It's the perfect color combo for fall, and it can be styled so many ways! And today is part one of that multiple styling!

Anyone else lacking in the fall dress department?
