Suede Mini Skirt

These are definitely two of my favorite pieces from this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I immediately fell in love with the color of this blouse, and the little bow details on the sleeves. It's girly and flouncy, which is basically what I look for in a top! And then there's this skirt. It has such a seventies feel, and can be worn so many ways! The color isn't one I usually go for, but I'm so glad I did!

Vintage DVF

Taking a break from Anniversary Sale content to bring you this amazing vintage dress, that has a fun story behind it! So this Diane Von Furstenberg only recently came into my possession. It actually belonged to my grandma, and she bought and wore it over FOUR decades ago!  (Proof that DVF knows what she's doing, and that my Grandma has always been stylish.) After staring longingly in the closet for a couple years, my mom off-handedly asked if I could have it, and this beauty became mine. (I honestly never thought I would say that I own a DVF wrap dress!) I'm utterly obsessed with how bright and fun this dress is. And how comfortable and easy it is to wear! Anyone want to invite me to their summer wedding so I can wear this beaut?

Floral Midi Dress

I have to admit, I never thought I'd be one to wear a midi dress. I had only tried on a couple before, and they always cut me weird. Enter this beauty. I decided to try it on during the anniversary sale at Nordstrom, and I immediately fell in love. Maybe it's the high slit, maybe it's the perfect color? Not sure, but it's my new favorite and I definitely plan on wearing it throughout fall. (with a cute jacket and booties of course!)
Also, this is my last set of pictures from my trip to Charleston (sad face). Guess that just means I have to go again soon! Rainbow Row totally exceeded my expectations. So many gorgeous homes, in every color! I could've stayed there all day (if it hadn't been for the humidity).

classic LBD

I think my favorite outfits tend to involve the classic little black dress. There is just so many ways you can style them, and they easily become the most versatile part of a wardrobe. There's always somewhere to wear an LBD! Today, I styled mine with a sparkly statement necklace and a contrasting coat. I love how the contrasting colors make each piece really pop and stand out!
(PS, a super fun giveaway is happening over on instagram!)

holiday parties

So excited to be teaming up with Lindsay from Sugar & Something to show you how we would dress for all those holiday parties coming up! (And make sure to check instagram later today for a fun giveaway! ;))

I absolutely love Lindsay's sparkly leggings, and how seriously chic her outfit is! Pus, I'm experiencing some serious hair envy right now! Wanna do mine for me, Lindsay? ;)
I went the classic red and green route, and edged it up a bit with chunky gold jewelry and a leather skirt (told you guys you'd be seeing it a lot!).

(Channeling Clara from the Nutcracker, of course!)

back to basics

Something about colder weather makes me crave basic pieces and timeless looks. Bring on all the black sweaters! (I owe my grown-up black clothing obsession to my mom, who is the queen of rocking black.) Pairing it with another basic color, like gray, is my go to, and recently I've been loving adding a red lip! (Hello, lipstick obsession.) I also have been really loving on my wrap sweaters recently. All the coziness!

comfy in aztec

First things first, I'm hosting a giveaway with some amazing and awesome people on instagram. You don't want to miss this one! (Cough, cough the winner will get over $300 in goodies!)

I am all about the big and fuzzy sweaters right now. SO cold. (Today we have a 100% chance of a rain/snow mix. How fun.) Cue bringing out everything fluffy and cozy and warm. Like this wrap sweater. It's actually thicker than it looks, and keeps me toasty warm without letting the window blow through the weaving! Perfection. Add some jeans (with leggings underneath, my fave trick) and some boots, and you're ready to go!
