So, you know you wear your hair the same way all the time when people make a big deal over it being different. Aka me on Friday when I came to class with my hair curled. Little secret for anyone who totally doesn't have time in the morning to curl: curl it the night before and sleep on it. You get a less perfect curl and it actually turns out pretty great. (Plus, I have super thick hair and it takes about an hour, or a little more. And I am not waking up an hour early for that!) Also, I am so obsessed with this sweater dress from Old Navy! Easily dressed up or down, and actually kept me pretty warm!

coral and navy

Coral and navy is such an unexpected color pairing, but one that totally works! Especially when you do it with a neutral top. But about these coral shoes, it's totally one of my favorite fashion stories (in a nerdy way. you'll see). So we were at the mall one day and I fell in love with the shoes and ended up getting them (thanks parents). It should be added here that I was a huge glee fan (you know, back when the show was good and they hadn't ruined it yet #bitter). This was right around the time the 3D concert movie was coming out, and I kept seeing pictures for it. And then I noticed that Dianna Agron (who plays Quinn, aka one of my fave characters) was wearing my shoes! Not going to lie, I squealed loudly and proceeded to tell everyone in my family (although their enthusiasm did not match mine). And now we are done with the nerd story...onto the actual outfit!

I am now an official blogger. I have done a picture with my jacket on my shoulders, and now feel like an official fashion blogger! ;) Unfortunately, these are my last set of pictures from home. Boo. Which means tomorrow I go back to tripod pictures in my apartment and figuring out how to make it work, until I can convince someone to be my photographer! Any takers? ;)

the ankh

First things first, I'm officially moving tomorrow, so this is the last time that you'll see my pictures looking like this! Moving on and up! (Also, this means I won't be very good with getting back to comments and blogs, so bear with me this week!)
Now onto this shirt. I got it at Urban Outfitters a couple years ago, mainly because of the ankh symbol on the front, which is the Egyptian symbol for life. I have had this weird love for this symbol ever since I read a book called Secret Society, where they got this symbol tattooed on the back of their neck once inducted into the society (against their will!). But there was a time I seriously considered having an ankh tattoo. For now, I think I'll just stick with the shirt!

I also won one of the TJMaxx maxxinista contest gift cards! Woo! (I had a little too much fun spending it!)

With it being summer, I love wearing all the super bright colors in my closet. Case in point, this neon orange tee from Victoria's Secret. They have my favorite basic v-neck shirts! They're super soft and they're normally only 2 for $32. Major win! Plus, I get to show off my new Shop Pretty Pants earrings! I love how Kendra Scott inspired they are, and that they aren't too heavy on my ears!

So, this post has so few photos because 1) we were on the way to the mall and headed out the door, 2) it was SUPER, SUPER windy, and the completely wrong day to wear this dress. Wind and a flowy mini dress do not mix. (#fashionbloggerprobs) But anyways, I love this dress anyways, and it's another one I scored on a major sale at Urban. People should really start paying me to do sale shopping for them ;)

I'm back! I'm already missing my family and being home, but I'm looking forward to a hopefully fun summer! (And it helps knowing that I'll be back in a little over two months, and that Pittsburgh is so much closer to home than Indiana is!) 

Speaking of being in Indiana, how many of us bloggers are here in the midwest? I keep seeing blogger meet ups happening all over, and I think it would be fun to do one! (Maybe a fun day, or even a small weekend getaway!) Let me know if you're in the midwest (or willing to travel. looking at you, my Florida bloggers! ;)), and if you're interested! I think it could be lots of fun!

Okay, onto the the outfit post. I am officially obsessed with this shirt. I managed to score it at Urban Outfitters for only $15 during one of their 50% off clearance sales! Major win! I knew I had to pair it with white shorts (who cares about that memorial day rule?), with black accents.

Being home means getting to take pictures by the pool, and having built in photographers! This is the life ;) The fact that we are having such nice weather is making it even better! I think this kind of outfit will be my go to for the summer. A simple summer dress with a fun scarf and a bright bag. Perfection in my eyes!

Yay for the warmer weather being back! I am so happy to be ditching my tights and wearing all my springy dresses and skirts! This skirt is amazing and comfy, and I may or not not have originally bought it because Marley wore it on an episode of glee. (Plus, it has pockets!) The only problem with it is that it's light and flowy, which is majorly problematic when it's windy outside!

I think my next big purchase needs to be a new jean jacket. I like the color and the fit of this one, but I have major issues with Abercrombie as a company. Plus, I feel very high school when I wear the brand. So, suggestions for the best jean jacket will be taken! ;)
