neon and white

Happy Tuesday all! Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I got to head home for the weekend and spend time with my family, which was definitely much needed.
I think my official go to outfit for the summer is going to be anything white and neon. It's just such a perfect combo for these bright summer days, and it immediately pumps me up when I put it on!

comfy & cozy

We are having fall temps here in Pittsburgh, and I'm actually loving it! Pair that with the fact that my classrooms are FREEZING COLD (seriously. one girl has started bringing a blanket to classes), and that means it's time for comfy sweaters and scarves! Unpacking my fall winter/boxes was like getting a whole extra wardrobe!

Anyone else unpack their "new" wardrobe yet?

pops of blues

It's not really a surprise to anyone at this point that I love me some blue. It's easily the color of most of my wardrobe, which is shown very clearly in this outfit. Still so funny to me, since I am such a pink kind of girl! Guess I'll just take my pink in the form of the print on this Lilly scarf!

Also, happy happy birthday to my favorite photographer and the best guy I know, my dad! Love you Daddy!

white on white

Life update: finally headed home today! I'll be back in action tomorrow and catching up on all my blog reads, so be prepared to be flooded with comments ;)
I love the white on white trend on other people, but I've always been nervous about trying it myself. Mainly because I was sure it was a jinx to spill something on myself. So I added a pop of color in a fun cardigan, and I think I really like this trend! Plus, all these pictures have been fun to take with my parents, because I always end up doing the silliest poses!

let's make fireworks

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I know I definitely did (my splotchy burn and itchy skin is a testament to that!). I'm spending my morning at a CPR class (boo), but I still have today and tomorrow morning before I have to return to the real world and work! Today's post is the outfit I wore on the 4th, which of course had to be as patriotic as possible!

nice and bright

With it being summer, I love wearing all the super bright colors in my closet. Case in point, this neon orange tee from Victoria's Secret. They have my favorite basic v-neck shirts! They're super soft and they're normally only 2 for $32. Major win! Plus, I get to show off my new Shop Pretty Pants earrings! I love how Kendra Scott inspired they are, and that they aren't too heavy on my ears!

blues & greys

Yay for the warmer weather being back! I am so happy to be ditching my tights and wearing all my springy dresses and skirts! This skirt is amazing and comfy, and I may or not not have originally bought it because Marley wore it on an episode of glee. (Plus, it has pockets!) The only problem with it is that it's light and flowy, which is majorly problematic when it's windy outside!

I think my next big purchase needs to be a new jean jacket. I like the color and the fit of this one, but I have major issues with Abercrombie as a company. Plus, I feel very high school when I wear the brand. So, suggestions for the best jean jacket will be taken! ;)
