Polka Dot Dress & the #TBSCon Welcome Party

Well, hello there! It's been quite a while. Is it possible to make mid year resolutions? I think mine needs to be more dedication to my blog. Working night shift and picking up extra shifts like crazy has completely thrown me off my game. But it's crazy how much I miss blogging, especially after attending this years Blog Societies conference!

I was expecting a lot from the conference, and I have to say, it completely blew me away. I learned SO much (my note taking nerd self was out in full force), and I was just trying to soak up as much as I could. And then there were all the amazing people I got to meet. The people behind the brands who sponsored the conference couldn't have been more amazing. And finally getting to meet some of my best blogger friends? Absolutely WONDERFUL! Let me tell you guys, the bloggers at this conference were some of the sweetest people on earth. And all my southern gals had me saying "y'all" in every other sentence by the end of the week.

This look was for the first night, aka the Vera Bradley Welcome Party. This Maison Jules dress was an easy pick (thanks to my Mom finding it), and it seemed to be a hit with everyone else as well! I am a sucker for twirly skirts, and this one has a perfect twirl!

All White in the Summer

There is something that is just so fun about wearing all white in the summer. It brightens the day even more, and can be paired with pretty much anything. I paired it here with fun turquoise earrings and wedges, but I could easily see it with a bright colored heel and matching bag for a night out! So many options available!

Yellow Off The Shoulder Dress: Night Look

Bringing this dress from day to night with bright orange heels and fun earrings! I swear, with how much I love this dress, I'm going to find a million ways to wear it over the summer! And I'm not exaggerating when I say how many compliments this dress gets. From strangers and friends alike. The yellow with the bright orange is definitely a new fave color combo of mine.

little white dress

Personally, I think the little white dress is just as important in a closet as the little black dress, especially in the spring and summer. It just lightens everything up, which I'm needing now since it's been so gorgeous outside lately! Add my go-to chambray and my Sperry's and I am set.

coral and navy

Coral and navy is such an unexpected color pairing, but one that totally works! Especially when you do it with a neutral top. But about these coral shoes, it's totally one of my favorite fashion stories (in a nerdy way. you'll see). So we were at the mall one day and I fell in love with the shoes and ended up getting them (thanks parents). It should be added here that I was a huge glee fan (you know, back when the show was good and they hadn't ruined it yet #bitter). This was right around the time the 3D concert movie was coming out, and I kept seeing pictures for it. And then I noticed that Dianna Agron (who plays Quinn, aka one of my fave characters) was wearing my shoes! Not going to lie, I squealed loudly and proceeded to tell everyone in my family (although their enthusiasm did not match mine). And now we are done with the nerd story...onto the actual outfit!

glam it up

So even though I'm waking up INCREDIBLY early every day for classes and clinicals, I refuse to be the person who wears sweats every day (I am okay with the on occasion. Maybe once a week. Talk to me again when it gets cold out.). So on Monday morning, when it was a little chilly out and I was exhausted, I threw on one of my comfiest sweaters (that's lightweight enough for this transition weather) and added some fun accessories and a darker lip to glam it up a little! Comfort and style in one ;)

lilly colorblocking

My house is close to wear the Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale is every year, but I wasn't home the weekend that it happened. Thankfully I had my mom and sister who went and got e birthday presents there! ;) Case in point, this colorblock sweater dress. I thought it was cute when I first got it, but it's even cuter on! I love the fun colors, and it is seriously so comfortable. I can already see pairing it with boots and a jacket for fall, or even with heels to dress it up!

adventure aquarium

This has just been a summer of fun things, especially now that I'm home! Last week, my dad and I took a trip to Adventure Aquarium in Camden, which is pretty much right outside of Philly. While the place was over run with camp groups and a TON of little kids, we still had a great time, and I got to pet a shark!

HIPPO! Jellyfish with tentacles over 100 ft long (terrifying). And outdoor penguins!

For reference, that lobster was probably longer than my arm. And SO many sharks. SO MANY.

These are the kinds of pictures we take when we're in public. #thecoolestfamily

Onto this awesome shirt, that I snagged from the men's section from Target, complete with little nautical flags printed on it! For size reference, I'm wearing a small.
