Lilly Pulitzer Pink

Coming back with another look from the Blog Societies Conference in Charleston! I found this bright pink Lilly dress and knew it would be perfect for the trip. I kept it neutral with the accessories since the dress was so bright, but I think my pearl Kendra Scott earrings were the perfect touch!
(Also, funny story about these pictures. We had planned to take pictures at the Pineapple Fountain, but is was so hot and there were a ton of kids playing in it. So we ended up just walking down a random street, and ended up with these. Just proves that all the streets are gorgeous in Charleston!)

Blush and Army Green

It is finally starting to feel like spring around here! (Although it's supposed to snow on Friday...but we're just going to ignore that little fact.) Whether it's warm or not, I've definitely started whipping out the more "spring-y" colors. And my favorite combo right now is blush pink and army green. I just love the look of them together! Add in bright white jeans and the perfect RayBans, and I am totally set. Anyone else just tired of dark winter colors right now? Especially when the sun is ACTUALLY out and everything is bright?

utility jacket & ikwetta sandals

Last weekend was probably the last good weekend of sandal weather (especially with this hurricane headed my way!), so I just had to wear my gorgeous Ikwetta sandals! They have an AMAZING story behind the company, and had a super successful kickstarter at the beginning of the summer! They definitely have a fan in me, and I can definitely see myself wearing these every summer and being a repeat customer! sister plaid

My sister came home for the weekend, so obviously the first thing I asked her was if she wanted do pictures for the blog. (I'm sure it's so much fun to have your sister always making sure you pack cute clothes so she can take pictures of you ;)) But if you ask me, she's a natural at this point. Girl was throwing out poses left and right. I love when photoshoots can be fun!

breaking the rules

Going to a school that's only five hours away from home, as opposed to twelve, is SO MUCH BETTER! Especially considering my grandma is about 45 minutes from me, and my family can stay there so no one has to get a hotel. So. Nice.
And now the outfit. So... does anyone actually follow the no white after Labor Day rule anymore? I mean, winter white is totally a thing now, and white looks awesome with fall colors. So I think I'll just be over here, breaking all the rules.

(my sister very begrudgingly joined the photoshoot!)

chambray and seersucker

I think one of my favorite combos is chambray and seersucker. It just works so well together. I'm probably going to need to add some more chambrays to my collection soon, considering how much I wear my J.Crew one! Plus, how adorable is this two-tone seersucker bow from Preppy Bows and Sass? Love it!

PS I have an awesome giveaway going on over on instagram with some awesome bloggers and Etsy stores! Check it out!

adventure aquarium

This has just been a summer of fun things, especially now that I'm home! Last week, my dad and I took a trip to Adventure Aquarium in Camden, which is pretty much right outside of Philly. While the place was over run with camp groups and a TON of little kids, we still had a great time, and I got to pet a shark!

HIPPO! Jellyfish with tentacles over 100 ft long (terrifying). And outdoor penguins!

For reference, that lobster was probably longer than my arm. And SO many sharks. SO MANY.

These are the kinds of pictures we take when we're in public. #thecoolestfamily

Onto this awesome shirt, that I snagged from the men's section from Target, complete with little nautical flags printed on it! For size reference, I'm wearing a small.
