flowers galore

First things first, I'm writing this from my new laptop! EEK! I had a Macbook before (the old white one) and it lasted me a good five years. But the battery life and speed was just not cutting it anymore, and I finally got to upgrade to the Macbook Pro! I've said "it's so preeeeeeeetty" so many times now.
Okay, on to today's post. I went to the Philadelphia Flower show yesterday, and WOW. I don't even know how to describe these amazing scenes people put together using all live plants. And this year's theme was Disney and Pixar movies, which obviously made it about ten million times more awesome! So now get ready for picture overload! :)

classic LBD

I think my favorite outfits tend to involve the classic little black dress. There is just so many ways you can style them, and they easily become the most versatile part of a wardrobe. There's always somewhere to wear an LBD! Today, I styled mine with a sparkly statement necklace and a contrasting coat. I love how the contrasting colors make each piece really pop and stand out!
(PS, a super fun giveaway is happening over on instagram!)

LBD with a twist

We all know that the LBD (little black dress) is a wardrobe must, especially at this time of year with all the holiday parties! My go to one is actually a sweater dress, perfect for the colder temps! I always pair it with some tights and heels, and then add a fun element, like a statement necklace or a fun scarf. And when my mom brought up this fun red one she has, I just had to put it on! Perfect for the holidays!

holiday parties

So excited to be teaming up with Lindsay from Sugar & Something to show you how we would dress for all those holiday parties coming up! (And make sure to check instagram later today for a fun giveaway! ;))

I absolutely love Lindsay's sparkly leggings, and how seriously chic her outfit is! Pus, I'm experiencing some serious hair envy right now! Wanna do mine for me, Lindsay? ;)
I went the classic red and green route, and edged it up a bit with chunky gold jewelry and a leather skirt (told you guys you'd be seeing it a lot!).

(Channeling Clara from the Nutcracker, of course!)

paradise

Happy Thursday! I have a majorly big test today, so everyone cross your fingers for me!
I think one of my favorite pieces in my closet right now is my leather skirt. It can just be paired with so many things, and I find myself constantly reaching for it! So when this super cute top from NTYLS, it was the first piece I thought of. You can't tell in these pictures, but this top is more a crop, hi-low top and it is so silky soft! It'll be great in the summer paired with some shorts and sandals. (PS, you guys have got to check out the website for NTYLS, which stands for Note To You Little Sister. Not only do they have some seriously cute clothes, but they also have a "sisterly advice" area, where you can ask anything! How cute!)
