Embroidery and High Waisted Shorts

It feels so good to get back to blogging and taking pictures again! This was my first time shooting in Nashville, and I loved it. I don't think I'll ever run out of places to take pictures here!
This is my idea of a perfect summer outfit. A breezy shirt, white shorts and some comfy sandals. Add in simple earrings and a bright purse, and I'm all set!

Gingham and Loafers

I am someone who absolutely loves fall. Bring on pumpkin treats and Halloween fun! The only problem is when it is the middle of October and we're still having days where it is way too hot to be wearing pants, let alone a sweater. So this is the outfit I turn to during those days. I still try to bring in elements of fall dressing (loafers, black gingham, scarf), without overheating the moment I step outside. I am loving the neck scarf trend way more than I ever thought I would, and definitely want to continue it into sweater season. Also, these loafers are seriously the most comfortable pair I've ever owned. WIN.

Kate Spade New Arrivals

I am completely obsessed with the Kate Spade new arrivals. Everything is springy/summery, and filled with sunshine and happiness. (Can you tell I'm ready for warmer weather?) I love the collections of wicker bags they've been doing the past couple years, and this year's is no different.

Which piece is your favorite? I think I need the teapot purse in my life!

Pop Of Pink

I have to say, I never used to be someone who wore all black. I always deemed it as "boring", and avoided it. But as I've gotten older (and obviously way cooler), I've kind of fallen in love with everything you can do with a black outfit. Like in today's post, adding a bright pop of pink with my purse made this outfit so much fun! Plus, the all black immediately gives you an air of sophistication and can give a boost of self confidence. So basically, it's the best kind of outfit!

Kate Spade Kitchen

Have you guys seen Kate Spade's latest kitchenware? It is seriously the cutest! I want my kitchen filled with it ASAP. But since that's highly unlikely (silly issue of money and space and such), I'll just create my own little wishlist here! simple, minimalist jewelry

I am always down for fun statement pieces, but lately I've been wearing more and more minimalist jewelry pieces. I love how simple and pretty they can look, and how perfect they are when layered! Plus, they're so easy to add to an outfit. Definitely going to be filling out my jewelry collection with softer pieces right now!

navy and pink, what a concept

In case you all were unaware of just how much I love navy and pink together, here's yet another combo for you ;) I wore this out for dinner with my family, and I just love the combination of the colors together. Plus, these pants I got at J.Crew Factory last year are my absolute favorite, and I take any chance I can to wear them!

hat lovin'

This is going to sound weird, but I finally found a hat to fit my head! No one ever believes me until they've seen me trying hats on, but I have an abnormally large head. (I must just be really smart guys ;)) So I have such trouble finding cute hats that fit me right. And then I stumbled across this cute one at Aerie, and as soon as I tried it on, I knew I was going to buy it. It was exactly what I had been looking for AND it fit my head. Check, check.
