70's chic

I can't believe this is only like...the third time my sister has been featured on my blog! I usually just forget to snap pictures of her, or she doesn't want pictures taken! (Or we're both in sweats and watch HGTV all day ;)) But she looked too cute on Easter, so I just had to make it a blog post! She was definitely 70's chic...and SO tall in those amazing wedges!

I always feel like such a grownup when I think about wanting art and art prints for a future apartment or house. Anyone else? I mean, it's definitely not something I would've cared about a couple years ago. I must be growing up! ;)
One of my favorite places to scavenge for art is Etsy. So many talented people out there! Here are some of my favorite art stores right now... 

I Draw Skies by Michaela Jean: Michaela is one of my favorite people in this blogisphere of ours. She's adorable and hilarious, and happens to be INCREDIBLY talented on top of it all! Seriously...do you see those pictures above? She painted those! I cannot wait to get one for my future apartment. Psst, you guys should follow her instagrams (1, 2) to keep up with her paintings!

A Thing Created: I've been following along with Erisha on the A Thing Created instagram for a while now, and I just love the way she illustrates! All of her pieces are fun and sassy, and I could easily do an entire gallery wall just from her store! I mean, don't you just want to be that girl in the hot pink outfit? ;) 

Lishy Lishy: I've talked about Alisha's etsy store on here before, so I obviously had to include it in today's post. I love all the cute prints she has in the store, plus these bright and colorful canvas paintings would be such a fun addition to a house! (I could totally see this in a home office!) Definitely check out her instagram as well, so many fun pictures!

H. Nichols Illustration: Holly is another illustrator I've been following on instagram for a while, probably since I started my blog! She draws the cutest girls in the most gorgeous outfits. I am totally wishing I had all of her drawings' outfits in my closet! I could definitely see putting her prints above the area where I blog, or in my closet/bathroom for inspiration!

listaholic: 1) someone who obsessively compiles lists to keep their life organized. 2) a person who gets pleasure from crossing items off a to-do list.

When I saw this definition on the back of the "listaholic" notepad from Drafts & Crafts, I about died. How perfect is it? It totally describes all of us listmakers to a T! I am definitely a listaholic, who hoards all the notepads, and this one is just awesome. Might as well warn everyone around me of my listaholic tendencies! ;)

I'm in love with pretty much everything in Dani's Drafts & Crafts etsy store. She has adorable prints, the cutest mug, and even has a champagne button (need!). You guys definitely need to check out her shop (you won't regret it!) and her instagram, and then stay tuned for a giveaway on instagram tonight where you and a friend could win your own notepads and prints!

For now, this pretty print is going to reside along two of my favorite things (an autographed script from Friday Night Lights and a Beauty and the Beast painting). But in my future non-college apartment, I totally plan on framing this and having it be the focal point on a bar cart! With a bottle of champagne nearby of course!

Like I said in my blogiversary post yesterday, one of my favorite parts of blogging has been all the people I've been able to meet. Over the weekend I got the chance to grab coffee with Alisha of the etsy store Lishy Lishy. (The funny part was that it was both of our first times meeting instagram friends in real life!) Not only does she have the cutest etsy store and prints, but she is so sweet! I had so much fun chatting with her and trading insider instagram stories!

Dottie Rocks!

I have a newfound love for engraved pencils. Normally, I am strictly a pen kind of girl. Maybe just because I was so sick of my mechanical pencils after high school. But there is just something about writing with a pretty looking pencil. Makes doing all that homework just a little, tiny bit better.
I found Dottie Rocks on Etsy, and instantly fell in love! The shop is run by Karen, and she has an amazing collection of pencils including quotes from Marilyn Monroe to Downton Abbey! And all in the prettiest of colors, of course. 
She sent me the "Dirty Dancing" collection and the "Sleeps in Chanel No. 5" collection, and I honestly think I squealed when I opened the package. Not only is the packaging cute, the pencils are even prettier in person! And all of the pencils in the shop are affordable, which is always a major score in my book!
