weekly roundup

one: Parents share the most inappropriate things their kids did. Get ready to laugh. (Although, now I'm officially worried about what I did and said as a kid!)

two: Proof that dogs are basically children, and get upset just like children do. And they are incredibly adorable when throwing tantrums.

three: 50 unpredictable and non-cliche places to travel to in your 20's. They are all mostly places I would have never considered, but I'm officially adding them to the bucket list! This post definitely hit me right in the wanderlust.

four: Frozen....as told by emoji. Completely pointless, but also ridiculously cute. I mean...just look at Olaf in emoji form. I need that in my keyboard ASAP.

Have a wonderful weekend!

lilee

Guys, I think I may have found one of the best box services out there. Seriously. It's called Lilee, and you need to check it out.
I've had high expectations about this box since I first found it on instagram, because the pictures they shared had some seriously cute products and the price point is a little higher ($49/month).
And let me tell you, when I got it in the mail....it COMPLETELY BLEW ME AWAY! I loved absolutely every single product in the box (which comes with a handy card to let you know where all the pieces are from), and I couldn't wait to start telling people about it. (One of the first things I did last weekend when I was home was show my family how awesome it was. I also sent an email to the Lilee company as soon as I opened it to let them know how blown away I was. Obviously I really loved this box.)
Okay, I should backtrack a little now. Lilee is a monthly box subscription, with each month having a different theme. May's theme was "brunch", which means I got things like champagne soap, a rejuvinating facial oil (which smells AMAZING), a cute tea towel (with a recipe for a muah-mosa!), specially brewed coffee, and other cute things! I have to admit that I was a TAD skeptical about the price point at first, but after getting the box, it is SO worth it. Seriously. I'm not sure what other compliments I could say at this point to get across how awesome this box is.
So I'll leave it at this: you NEED to try this box service out. I promise, you won't regret it.

How cute is this packaging? It's like opening a present to yourself!

tea towel (Lilee), powder eyeshadow (Marsk), hand cream (Love Life Skin), powder blush (Your Minerals), hair tie (Knotty), face oil (Rachel's Plan Bee), ground coffee (Texas Coffee Traders), brunch invites (Lilee), champagne soap (The Perth Soap Co.), champagne stopper (Lilee), coffee ground body scrub (Perk Naturals)

Has anyone tried Lilee before?

in the jungle

Where my parents live, there's a flower and gardening nursery called Ott's Exotic Plants. And it is just so pretty. They have a huge mountain right in the parking lot that gets covered in flowers at different times of the year (pictures of that later), and all the flowers and plants you could imagine. Another cool thing? The mini jungle that's inside the greenhouse, complete with exotic plants and a waterfall. Epic. So obviously, we had to take pictures there. How could you not? Especially when you're in a bright blue Lilly top.

I think this is my new favorite place to shoot! Do you have a similar favorite place?

neon and white

Happy Tuesday all! Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I got to head home for the weekend and spend time with my family, which was definitely much needed.
I think my official go to outfit for the summer is going to be anything white and neon. It's just such a perfect combo for these bright summer days, and it immediately pumps me up when I put it on!

weekly roundup

one: Jimmy Fallon challenged Jamie Foxx to a game of Wheel of Musical impressions, and Jamie just KILLS it! So hilarious.

two: A Pitch Perfect proposal? Um, yes please! (The girl's reaction is the best part!)

three: I always find it incredibly awesome when a woman can totally destroy a cocky guy. Case in point, this video. This girl rocks.

four: This video will most definitely make you smile and laugh. A husband wakes up from surgery and sees his wife for the first time as she films him. Too good not to share.

Have a great holiday weekend!

just keep swimming

It's that time of year again...bathing suit season. I don't know if it's because I've spent the majority of my summers at a pool, wear bathing suits get faded by chlorine and roughed up by cement, but it's so hard for me to drop a lot of money on swimsuits! I usually stick to my tried and true favorite for all things swim...Target! And they have some seriously cute choices this year.

cherry lips, crystal skies

Do you ever watch something and feel super inspired style wise? That's how I feel whenever I watch any of Taylor Swift's music videos. (Side note: how epic was Bad Blood?!) Today's look was inspired by the scene in the Blank Space video where she's laying in the grass singing "cherry lips, crystal skies, I could show you incredible things". This line always gets stuck in my head for whatever reason, so obviously I had to shoot a look around it! And it turned out to be one of my favorite looks on the blog!

kate spade surprise sale

Guys, the Kate Spade Surprise sale is back, and it is AMAZING. Such a fantastic selection this time around. Like really though, can I just have it all? It can be a little overwhelming to search through all the options (as in, your cart could go from $0 to $1000 in a blink of an eye), so I thought I'd share some of my favorites. Make it a little easier ;)

leopard and red

Happy Monday all! I've come to the conclusion that Mondays in the summer are just easier. The sun is starting to come up when you're getting ready, and you can go outside and not completely freeze your booty off. So even though I'm going to have to be at 5 am this summer every Monday for clinicals, I'm 99% sure it's going to be better than getting up that early in the winter!
I think my new favorite pairing is red and leopard. I mean, how can you not feel awesome while rocking leopard and some bright red? Instant confidence boost! I'll be rocking the two together this summer in different combos, for sure.

weekly roundup

one: 10 times Disney characters gave awesome relationship advice. Because Disney always gives the best advice. Duh.

two: Speaking of Disney, a girl on youtube put together a pretty amazing medley of Disney princess songs...and transformed into each princess to sing their parts. Girl has got some serious talent.

three: Center Stage, aka one of the best movies ever, is apparently turning 15 this year, and Entertainment Weekly put together a list of the reasons why it's the best. And it is so on pointe. (Get the pun? ;))

four: And to round it off, a video of dogs and cats protecting babies. Because it's absolutely essential to start your weekend with a smile :)

Have a great weekend!
